Projects and innovation

Applied science
for tomorrow's aquaculture.

Farming better and with less impact demands research. That is why we coordinate and take part in projects with science centres and universities, here, in our own tidal ponds.

Research in the tidal ponds

Our tidal ponds are also an open-air laboratory. We coordinate a project that brings fish, seaweed and sea cucumber together in the same system, and we take part in another that aims to return seagrass meadows to the Ria de Alvor. Science carried out where the fish grow.
