2. Data we collect
We only collect the data you send us directly:
- Quote request (Contact page): name, company, email, phone, type of customer and your message.
- Guided visit request (Visits page): type of visit and group, number of people, preferred date and time of day, language, name, email, phone and notes.
- Shop opening notice (Shop page): your email.
- Direct contact: the data you share when you email or call us.
We do not collect special categories of data and ask you not to include them in your messages.
3. Why we use your data and on what basis
- To answer your request, prepare quotes and organise visits: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us.
- To let you know when the online shop opens: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax rules, when there is a commercial relationship.
We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling.
4. How long we keep your data
We keep contact and visit requests for as long as needed to answer them and, after that, for a maximum of 24 months so we can follow up on future contacts. The email for the shop opening notice is kept until the shop opens or until you withdraw your consent. Data related to sales is kept for the period required by law.
5. Who has access to your data
Your data is handled by our team. To run this website we use service providers, such as the hosting company and the email service, who only process data on our behalf. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
The map on the Contact page is provided by Google (Google Maps) and is only loaded if you ask for it or accept external content in the cookie notice. From that moment, Google may collect data under its own privacy policy.
6. Cookies
We only use the cookies needed for the website to work, to remember your language and to record your cookie choice. External content is only loaded with your permission. Find out more in our Cookie Policy.
7. Your rights
At any time you may ask to access, correct or erase your data, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format and withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting processing carried out before. To do so, write to geral@pescalgarve.pt. We reply within one month at the latest.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including a secure connection (HTTPS) across the whole website.
